«2008 EUROPEAN ICE CHAMPIONSHIP», Lituania

First Lithuanian/European Ice-Blokart Championship 2008 was held 23&24th February at Galve lake, Trakai, Lithuania by VšĮ «Irklakojis». This proved to be a real European Ice-Blokarting Championship as less than a quarter of participants were lithuanians. 6 british, 4 dutch, 3 estonians and 4 lithuanians totaly 17 pilots were competing in 2 weight divisions.
The event was closed by the awards ceremony and the expectancy was expressed that the World Ice-Blokart Championship will be carried out in 2009 in the Baltics. Lithuanian capital Vilnius is going to be the Cultural Capital of the Europe in the Year 2009, so maybe Lithuania will host the biggest Ice event again? More info at www.blokart.lt
